چکیده

A microfluidic sensor based on a microstrip line loaded with composite resonator is reported in this paper. The combines shunt connected step impedance (SIR) and complementary split ring CSRR) etched the ground plane. By etching CSRR beneath patch of SIR, CSRR-loaded SIR exhibits two transmission zeros pole between. operating principle variation coefficient at frequency bare resonator, when material or liquid under test (LUT) contact (the sensitive element). designing closely spaced zeros, highly sensors are obtained. Despite fact that proposed can also operate as sensor, using it single-frequency (caused by LUT) specific reduces costs. reason harmonic signal injected to input port microstrip-based plus simple amplitude modulation (AM) detector (connected output port) suffices for measuring purposes. applied characterization volume fraction solutions isopropanol deionized (DI) water. able resolve fractions small 5%, maximum measured sensitivity good 4 mV/%.

Amplitude and Frequency/Phase Modulation

I always had difficulties in understanding frequency modulation (FM) and its frequency spectrum. Even for the pure tone modulation, the FM spectrum consists of an infinite number of sidebands whose signs change from one sideband to the next one and whose amplitudes are given by the horrible Bessel functions. . . I work for Zurich Instruments, a Swiss maker of lock-in amplifiers and it has becom...

Detection of combined frequency and amplitude modulation.

This article is concerned with the detection of mixed modulation (MM), i.e., simultaneously occurring amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). In experiment 1, an adaptive two-alternative forced-choice task was used to determine thresholds for detecting AM alone. Then, thresholds for detecting FM were determined for stimuli which had a fixed amount of AM in the signal interval o...

An Amplitude- and Frequency-modulation Vocoder for Audio Signal Processing

The decomposition of audio signals into perceptually meaningful modulation components is highly desirable for the development of new audio effects on the one hand and as a building block for future efficient audio compression algorithms on the other hand. In the past, there has always been a distinction between parametric coding methods and waveform coding: While waveform coding methods scale e...
